The leader of a Tanzanian Christian ministry was brutally hacked and gunned down in front of his wife and family in their home in early January by a gang of armed men. Eight men armed with knives, pangas and at least one gun forced their way into the leader's home on the outskirts of Dar Es Salaam. "He's the one," one of them said, pointing at Gaetan Zimulinda.
Immediately the men attacked him with knives and finally bullets. According to his wife, "In the name of Jesus," were his last words, after he was shot. No one else was physically harmed. Islamic fundamentalists are believed responsible for the attack, according to Lance Thollander, director of the Overseas Division of Christian Aid, of Charlottesburg, VA.
