Sudan Government Amputated Christian's Hand

The Sudan government amputated the right hand of a Christian Sudanese member of the Kakwa tribe from South Sudan, according to Open Doors reports. He was arrested in May of 2000, convicted and sentenced for allegedly stealing car parts. Reports by World Organization Against Torture indicate the man was not represented in court; in fact, he should not have been punished under Islam law as he is a Christian.

According to Compass News source, this action proves that the Sudan regime is exacting harsh Muslim punishments against both Christians and Muslims now.
