Welcome to the Pulpit Helps Magazine online archive!
You've just found one of the most complete pastoral resource archives on the web, including sermon outlines, illustrations, and thousands of articles on preaching, biblical exegesis, counseling, Christian living, missions, and more. You now have unlimited access to every area of our site. All of our material is available for use from the pulpit, in Sunday School classes, or in church newsletters and other non-profit publications.
Originally launched as an extension of the magazine, the Pulpit Helps website currently contains material from the final decade of our print issues. Our long-range goal is to expand this site by adding previous issues as resources permit.
Pulpit Helps was founded in 1975 by the late Dr. Spiros Zodhiates, longtime president of AMG International, with the focus of providing solid biblical material for the busy pastor. As circulation increased, eventually reaching over 210,000 copies monthly, the vision of the publication expanded to equipping, encouraging, and challenging all who study and teach God's Word.
As print costs became more prohibitive and revenues decreased, the decision was made to cease U.S. print operations of Pulpit Helps in December, 2009.
The vision of Pulpit Helps has now been given new life as Disciple Magazine, an online-only publication that brings articles on Christian life from pastors and theologians, reviews of the latest books from Christian publishers, and solid, expositional studies right to your inbox every month free of charge.
Pulpit Helps is still published in print form by several affiliated ministries abroad, using material from Disciple Magazine. The articles from Disciple are translated from English into the languages of each country and then adapted to fit the culture of the people they are reaching.
We invite you to browse our past issues, and to visit disciplemagazine.com to continue enjoying the broad variety of content that, since 1975, has provided encouragement, insight, and tools for preaching, teaching, and living God's Truth.
