Culture War Casualty

The loudest faction of Christians are (sic) misrepresenting the gospel by fighting their own “culture wars.” Jack Graham’s article “Vote Your Values, Not Political Parties” in September, 2004, seems to articulate your position and that of many well meaning Christians that is grievous in its misunderstanding. “To do justice (social justice), love mercy (toward each other) and to treat others in a way for which we will be judged (Matthew 25) when they are poor, blind, naked, imprisoned, etc., all seem to have a stronger biblical mandate than the values of fear. Please remove our church from your paper’s distribution.
