Living by Faith

By David & Stephen Olford

David & Stephen OlfordText: “Preserve me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust…Thou wilt show me the path of life: in thy presence is fullness of joy: at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore” (Ps. 16:1, 11).

Thought: This psalm is certainly messianic and depicts our Savior’s triumph, both in life and  death. At the same time the psalm provides an example for all believers to walk by faith and also to win by faith. Observe, first of all:

I. The Life of Faith:Preserve me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust…Their sorrows shall be multiplied that hasten after another god” (vv. 1-4).
