Intro.:  Where’s God in the time of death?

1)      God Is Behind You: “The eternal God is your refuge.”

a)       There’s never been a time when God wasn’t  (Ps. 90:1-2).

b)       God is our shelter from the storms of life (John 14:2).

2)      God Is Beneath You: “Underneath are the everlasting arms.”

a)       You couldn’t ask for a stronger foundation than the everlasting arms of God (33:26).

b)       Jesus could tell Peter that “on this rock I will build my church” (Matt. 16:18).

3)      God Is Before You: “[The Lord] will drive out your enemy before you.”

a)       The Almighty knows what lies ahead for us (Exod. 23:20).

b)       The Lord has already done for others as He did for Lazarus (Luke 16:22).

Concl.: Therefore, you can always trust God to be wherever you are, especially in the time of death.
