About Pulpit Helps Magazine & Online

Pulpit Helps magazine was launched by AMG International as a monthly print publication in 1975. Founded by Dr. Spiros Zodhiates, longtime president of AMG International, Pulpit Helps provided help and resources for pastors and Bible teachers for 34 years.

These resources included Sermon Outlines, Biblical Illustrations, Bulletin Inserts, Jewels from Past Giants plus articles on relevant issues, significant Christian news and mission reports from around the world. All of these were designed to help the pastor, church staff, and Sunday School teachers do the work of the ministry.

Pulpit Helps ceased U.S. print operations in December 2009 and is now Disciple Magazine (www.disciplemagazine.com) , an online-only, bi-weekly e-magazine, developed with the expanded reach beyond vocational pastors to anyone who is committed to studying and teaching God’s Word.

Pulpit Helps is still published in print form in several countries abroad, using material from Disciple Magazine. The articles from Disciple are translated from English into the languages of each country and then adapted to fit the culture of the people they are reaching.

The Pulpit Helps website is now an online archive of the last 10 years of our print issues, from December 1999 to December 2009. Select articles and features from each month's issue are available free of charge in our basic archive. With a subscription to Disciple Magazine, you will also receive unlimited access to our full premium archive, featuring more than a decade of all the articles from Pulpit Helps Magazine. The Sermon Starters, Illustrations, and Bulletin Inserts features from Pulpit Helps are now available in an easily searchable database at www.sermonhall.com .
