Every believer at times suspects that God has forgotten him or her and that He doesn't quite understand what we are going through. Ray Pritchard has written to encourage us by showing that all of life for the believer begins and ends at the same place-God. When we understand the plan and purposes of God, we can rest assured that nothing, absolutely nothing, can separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
The author has organized seven spiritual principles-laws-to enhance growth in the Christian life:
Law 1-He's God and we're not. We acknowledge that we have a spiritual need.
Law 2-God doesn't need us, but we desperately need Him. We earnestly ask Him to meet our needs.
Law 3-What God demands, He supplies. He will not ask us to do anything except what He gives us the ability to do.
Law 4-What you seek, you find. We find the will of God for our lives by actively pursing it.
Law 5-Active faith releases God's power. Faith is not blind; we must act on the revealed will of God.
Law 6-There is no growth without struggle. If we actively seek His will, we will encounter roadblocks and opposition.
Law 7-What God starts, He finishes. Even amid turmoil and conflict, we can be assured that He is in control and will ultimately accomplish what He has determined to do in our lives.
Those who truly seek to know Him should read this book carefully. Locate the suggested Scripture passages and let the Holy Spirit apply them to your life.
